National Law University, Tripura organizes the 3rd Intra Moot Court Competition, 2026
The Moot Court Society of National Law University, Tripura successfully organised the 3rd Intra Moot Court Competition, 2026 from 8th May to 10th May, 2026 at the University campus. The Competition was organised with the objective of promoting advocacy skills, legal research, drafting abilities, and courtroom etiquette among students.
The Competition was inaugurated by Hon???ble Mr. Justice S.C. Das, Judge, High Court of Tripura. In his inaugural address, His Lordship encouraged the participants to cultivate excellence in legal advocacy, research, and professional ethics, while highlighting the importance of moot court exercises in shaping future legal professionals.
The Competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across different semesters of the University. Participants argued on complex legal issues before panels comprising Professors of Law and practicing Advocates. The rounds were conducted in a manner simulating real courtroom proceedings, thereby providing students with practical exposure to legal argumentation and advocacy techniques.
The Final Round of the Competition was adjudged by distinguished legal professionals from Khaitan & Co., namely:
- Pratik Shanu
- Shreya Singh
The Competition was conducted under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Yogesh Pratap Singh, whose continuous encouragement and support have consistently contributed towards the academic and professional development of students.
The Moot Court activities were coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Ripon Bhattacharjee, Moot Court Advisor.
The successful organisation of the Competition was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the student members of the Moot Court Society. Special appreciation is extended to Aishikee Biswas for her leadership and coordination, Rishabh Kumar for his organisational support, and Pranav Narayan Mishra for his active contribution towards the smooth conduct of the event.
A special mention is also made of Prince Kumawat, who was responsible for the overall management of the programme. His tireless efforts, along with the immense dedication and commitment of the volunteers, played a significant role in the successful completion of the Competition.
The University expresses its sincere gratitude to all judges, faculty members, organisers, participants, and volunteers for contributing towards the grand success of the 3rd Intra Moot Court Competition, 2026, and for reaffirming the institution???s commitment towards excellence in legal education and advocacy training.
